I love the contrast between the deadbeat runner an that innocent little bear.
The whole thing made me think of futility of some actions in general, and the futility of underestimating symbols, in particular. I mean both the runner and bear symbolise something, but when You are for example trying to win someone's heart, it's the cute bear who helps you win in the long run. And not the 30 kilometers.
